This website sets no cookies. It keeps a few small settings in your own browser so the site works the way you chose, and this page lists every one, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
What this website keeps in your browser
None of these is a cookie. They stay on your device, in your browser's storage. Only "How you arrived" is ever sent to us, and only with a message you send through our contact form:
- Your accessibility settings (ceidwad-accessibility) — only if you change any: text size, contrast, appearance, colour, font, text and line spacing, link highlighting, the reading guide, motion and cursor size, so they stay as you set them.
- The October video card (cm-2026-dismissed) — whether you have closed it, so it stays closed.
- The October video card's link (cm-2026-clicked) — whether you have followed it. This lasts for that visit only and clears when you close the tab.
- A counting setting (ceidwad-dontcount) — used only on Ceidwad's own devices so our own visits aren't counted. It is never set for visitors.
- How you arrived (ceidwad-arrival) — the name of the site that sent you here (not the full address), the source, medium and campaign name if you came through one of our own links, and the first page you saw. It is sent to us only if you send a message through our contact form, so we can see how you found us, and it clears when you close the tab.
Counting visits without cookies
We count page visits without cookies and without storing anything on your device. Our privacy notice explains what we record and for how long.
What we never use
- No advertising or re-targeting cookies.
- No selling of data to third parties.
- No cross-site tracking of pupils or staff.
Managing your settings
You can clear any of these at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. If you do, your accessibility settings return to the standard ones, and the October card may appear again.
