Who we are

Ceidwad is operated by Ceidwad Limited, a private company limited by shares registered in England and Wales with company number 17373758. Who can use Ceidwad

Ceidwad is built for UK schools, colleges and multi-academy trusts. Plans are assigned automatically from the DfE's Get Information about Schools register: standalone primary, secondary or further-education establishments, and multi-academy trusts. Universities and other establishments outside this scope are not eligible to self-serve.

The service

Ceidwad monitors cyber-security posture and compliance, explains it in plain English, and prepares recommended actions. It supports your decisions — it does not replace your IT team, professional security advice, or your own legal and regulatory obligations. The free assessment provides an indicative score based on your answers, not a guarantee of security.

Accounts & security

• Keep your sign-in details confidential and tell us promptly of any misuse.
• Use Ceidwad lawfully, and don't attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of information you give us.

Pricing, billing & the term

Prices are published by establishment type. A multi-academy trust is priced from its academies in the DfE's register, each at its own phase, with a volume discount applied to the total.

Fees are exclusive of VAT and any applicable taxes, which are payable in addition where chargeable. Ceidwad Limited is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged unless and until VAT becomes chargeable.

Unless the Order Form states otherwise, Ceidwad is sold on an initial 1-year subscription term. The Order Form may offer 3-year pricing or a 3-year upfront payment option. Any 3-year commitment, discount or upfront payment applies only if it is expressly selected and agreed in the signed Order Form. There is no monthly option and no setup fee. Where a 3-year term is agreed, it can be paid in either of two ways:

• Paid yearly — invoiced once a year, in advance of each year, at the same price as a one-year term. Nothing is discounted; what you get is that the price cannot move for the whole term. The term is committed in full at the outset — it is the payments that are spread, not the commitment. If a yearly invoice goes unpaid the service stops, and with it the price you had locked.
• Paid up front — the whole term as a single invoice before it starts. This is discounted, because paying years in advance is money you have given up the use of.

Where a 3-year term is agreed your price is fixed for the whole term — if our prices rise, yours does not, until renewal. A one-year term is a single invoice paid before it starts and carries no discount or price lock.

Because the term is paid upfront, it runs to its end date rather than being cancellable month to month. We will tell you before a term ends; renewal is a decision you make, not something that happens by default. Prices may change at renewal and never during a term you have already paid for.

Data protection

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Where we process pupil or staff data on your behalf, the Data Processing Agreement forms part of these terms and sets out our obligations as your processor.

Availability & liability

We work hard to keep Ceidwad available and accurate but provide it "as is", without warranties beyond those implied by law. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to our total liability is limited to the fees paid or payable by you for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. For free assessments or free use, our total liability is limited to £100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Intellectual property

The Ceidwad platform, brand and content are ours or our licensors'. The reports and outputs we generate for you are yours to use within your school or trust.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll post the new date above and notify account holders of material changes.
